"Unmet Desires" (Milestones spanking story) #SatSpanks

Hopefully you know by now that Milestones, the Domestic Discipline anthology follow up to Coming to Terms is out and available for sale!

We chose the theme "milestones" for our stories, and the one I chose is very close to my heart.

I wanted to be a mother from the time I was a small child. I was the sort of girl who mothered all the younger kids. When I was a teen, the neighborhood kids would knock on my door when someone skinned a knee because I would give them the good old-fashioned mama treatment with Bactine and a Bandaid. But, like many in my generation, I thought I ought to wait until I'd established my career to have babies. I started trying at age thirty.  I obsessed like crazy. Weeks turned into months turned into years and included the heartbreak of miscarriage.

For Claire and Luis, my newly-wed couple from Coming to Terms, I chose the milestone of pregnancy, drawing on the stress and struggle I experienced in the process of trying to conceive. Cara commented last week that my story has a melancholy to it, but even with the deep and tender moments, there are a ton of hot spankings, and I promise you, I would never leave you without the very best Happily Ever After.

Here's what happens not long after yesterday's excerpt, in which Claire told Luis to man up and do something about her slacking on rules.

“What else are you sorry for, Claire?” His deep voice was silky and she thought she recognized the hint of dominant seduction in it. She was relieved--he wasn’t angry. Or at least not too angry.
“I’ve been horrible. I’ve snapped and snarled. And I haven’t been a good wife.” Her eyes filled with tears as the oppressive weight on her chest returned in full force.
Luis gave stern shake of his head. “Enough,” he said and her eyes widened, not sure what he’d had enough of. “Come here,” he said, reaching for her.
She climbed into his lap, curling into him, attaching herself like a burr to a sock.

“You cannot be a good wife if you’re not good to yourself, mi amor. You blame yourself over not getting pregnant and it’s tearing you apart.”

Unmet Desire by Renee Rose

Watching his wife unravel as she faces infertility is as heartbreaking for Luis as it is for Claire, but the more he compassion he shows, the more she drifts away. Deciding to take a firm hand, he whisks her away to their mountain condo for a weekend boot camp to reaffirm their roles and reignite their passion for one another.

A Time to Heal by Sue Lyndon

Stephie’s cancer went into remission a year ago, but her husband, Marcus, still treats her like she’s breakable. They resume practicing domestic discipline, but Marcus has a hard time following through with punishments, leaving Stephie frustrated that it’s not the same as before her illness. The First Submission by Anastasia Vitsky

Bred to uphold duty and tradition from the cradle, rising legal scholar Sori shrinks from marriage and assuming the role of disciplinarian. Can they find love in an arranged marriage?

October Something by Jade Cary

As their tenth wedding anniversary approaches, Kate and Jack Barrington are signing divorce papers instead of exchanging tin. 1. I absolutely loved Unmet Desires! You absolutely put your heart into it and it showed. I wish all my friends going through infertility had an amazing "Marcus" alongside them!

  2. I bought it yesterday and I stayed up late into the night (Thank god hubby was working a night shift). I loved this story, actually I loved all of them so far. Thank you
    love Jan.xx

  3. Your intro made me teary and I'm happy you have your beautiful family now. Like the piece you shared, a little heavier but a lot of times, life is heavier. Looking forward to reading these stories.

  4. Sounds like a very sweet story, Renee. Having a child isn't always as easy as it seems at the outset, I'll bet lots of readers will be able to relate.

  5. I love Luis. He is so sweet! I can't wait to read this!

  6. Must add it to my list.

  7. This was a sad story. Had happy ending for the couple, but the tone was melancholy. I felt sorry for her.

  8. I loved this story! There was so much emotion in it. I could tell that this was really close to your own heart when you wrote this!

    I adore Luis, btw!
    Congrats on the release!

  9. Attaching herself like a burr to a sock. That's adorable. Very warm snippet. Sounds like it's going to be a very emotional story.

  10. :) OH gosh I'm already tearing up over here! Not a good sign. I just know I'm going to have to make time to read this tomorrow!!

  11. This looks like a truly moving story, but with hotness too ("... the hint of dominant seduction" ...oh my, um, yes).

  12. Such a perfect moment :) I love Luis here.

  13. I agree with Joelle. Luis is letting her know that he loves her, but that he won't tolerate her putting herself down when she's not at fault. I'll bet your story has a lot of bittersweet moments to it. Love the snippet.
