Wedding rings, bathrooms and stolen cars

I was nominated by Joseph McNamara and Sue Lyndon for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award:

The Rules:

1. Display the award logo on your blog.
2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
3. State 7 things about yourself.
4. Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award and link to them.
5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements.

I have to admit, it's getting harder and harder to come up with unique facts.  I can't remember what I've already divulged....  Here's some randoms:

1.  I now own both my grandmothers's wedding rings and my mother's.  That's a lot of diamonds for a girl who's not really into the bling, especially since I already have three bands of my own, because my husband decided I needed a bigger rock a few years back.

2.  I almost had the three sets of china too, but I managed to give one set to  a cousin.  Good thing I never registered for my own!

3.  My husband is showing his support for my grief by completely remodeling our bathrooms. I love my manly man and his need for action in the face of crisis.

4.  At my bachelorette party, my friends wrote down the most unusual place they'd had sex and I had to draw papers and guess who they belonged to. More than one friend had done it in our nightclub, including in my husband's office.

5.  I owned a dance studio for 7 years and I still teach there.

6.  When I owned it, the dance studio was broken into four times in quick succession.  That was when my auto-immune condition first popped up.

7.  Our house has been broken into twice, and my husband has had two SUVs stolen and wrecked out in the desert.

I nominate:  Argh.   Can I skip this?  Can I just tag anyone who wants to join in to join?  Please join if you'd like.

    1. It took LD several years to recover from CFIDs and lead a normal life, but she still has symptoms of the illness from time to time.

  2. Wow. You're like a crime wave target. It is hard to keep coming up with different facts for these things. Pretty soon I'll have to count the socks in my drawer just to have something to say!

Grieving is a long, up and down process, but I hope you're getting moments of peace, a respite from the sadness.

    1. Yeah, I think it's a product of where we live. Not much violent crime here though.

Yes, I'm totally fine and then it hits me. I just choked up talking to one of my husband's customers on the phone -argh.

  3. I almost skipped out on nominating anyone new too! Glad your husband is being so supportive when you need it most, and I hope you don't have to deal with anymore break-ins/thefts. :)

    1. Me too! The good thing is that we never lose anything of value. My sooper sekrit story is based on my experience with this, though!

    1. For some reason, things always happen to us in two's. It's like it stays in our energy field and repeats itself!

  5. It was a pleasure to nominate you with all the other's. I too am having a hard time coming up with new facts about myself and new names to nominate that haven't already participated in some way or the other. Your profession here of the bling, could result in more crime now.. Hope that isn't a reality. I enjoyed your answers... and thanks for sharing...

    1. Okay, full disclosure - both my grandmother's rings have the TINIEST diamonds possible! Product of the depression, of course!

  6. Renee---please move near me. I do criminal defense and could use more clients.

Ok...just kidding. I've been the victim of theft once and it was awful so I can't imagine it happening so many times.

  7. By the time I get to doing this post, I won't have anyone left to nominate, either. I will use your method.

And goodness, what a bunch of things for you to go through! And you call *me* a warrior princess. I think you are the original sugar warrior princess. xoxox

  8. Renee don't gamble!
I think trouble comes in threes. We had three car incidents since summer.

I would have had nothing fun to say at my bachelorette party.
Now if I was asked about mischief, partying and dancing...well than yes.

Autoimmune issues are so complicated aren't they? I know that you have such a great wealth of alternative treatments. I hope they stay at bay with all the stress you have had lately.

    Take care of yourself!
