As I mentioned earlier, the Goodreads BDSM group is discussing Pleasing the Colonel as book of the month.

I know some of you have read the book and I was wondering if you'd join in on the discussion?  Here are the questions:  (Warning, the discussion may contain spoilers).


1) As an erotic Regency romance, how well do you feel the author balanced the three components? How would you rate the book on each?


2)How important is historical accuracy to you when reading erotic fiction set in the past and how accurate did this story feel, compared to other Regency romances?

3)Domestic discipline was a large part of this story. Did you find the more purely disciplinary spankings given Amanda early in the story as erotic as those that were given later? Which types of spankings are more erotic to you, those that are for discipline only, those that are solely intended to be erotic, or a combination?


4) Did you think the Colonel was justified in disciplining Amanda each time. Were the spankings fair? How important is it to you that punishments are fair in BDSM erotica?

5)What did you think of the scene when the Colonel spanks both Amanda and his sister at the same time?


6)Did you find the way in which the romance developed between Amanda and the Colonel satisfying? As sex didn't happen until after they were married, did you feel the sexual tension between them was erotic enough to carry the story until then.
